Tourism sector gauges daily tourists to top 100,000 in Easter

Members of the tourism industry in Macau indicated that this year’s holiday is expected to see not only Hong Kong tourists, but also quite a number of mainland tourists, so the number of tourists during the holiday may grow compared with that of ordinary weekends. The average daily number of tourists may top 100,000. Andy Wu, chairman of Travel Industry Council of Macau (TICM), said the Easter holiday was mainly dominated by Hong Kong tourists in the past, and gauged that the number of tourists visiting Macau could be even higher than that of ordinary weekends, paired with the addition of mainland tourists, since the Easter holiday this year falls on Saturday and Sunday.
