Grand Prix season finds a new gear in Wynn’s hypercar showcase

Every November, the sound of engines marks the arrival of one of the city’s most recognizable traditions, the Macau Grand Prix.
Yet this year, the city’s celebration of speed has expanded beyond the race circuit and into the polished interiors of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace.
The two integrated resorts temporarily house some of the world’s most sought-after hypercars, offering visitors a rare chance to see more than 20 hypercars, including familiar names like Ferrari, Bugatti, and Lamborghini, along with collaborations that pair automotive engineering with art and fashion.
Supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Sports Bureau, the “Wynn Signature – 2025 Hypercar Exhibition” features not only high-end European models but also showcases the evolving landscape of automotive and luxury collaborations.
What distinguishes this year’s showcase is its effort to link Macau’s motorsport culture with broader creative and cultural expressions.
Among the highlights is a full-sized Formula 1 car making its public debut in the city, alongside the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO in Roger Dubuis livery, pairing Italian racing heritage with Swiss watchmaking precision.
The LB-Silhouette WORKS Lamborghini Huracán GT wrapped in A BATHING APE’s ABC CAMO demonstrates a convergence of urban fashion and automotive design.
Meanwhile, the vintage Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, presented with Chopard timepieces, underscores how historical models continue to resonate alongside modern innovations.
Equally significant is the inclusion of Chinese-made electric hypercars, such as BYD’s Yangwang U9 and NIO’s EP9.
“These cutting-edge EVs, with their astonishing speed, power, stunning maneuvers and fast-charging capabilities, are radically redefining the electric supercar space. By bringing these EVs together, Wynn aims to give the world a glimpse into the exhilarating future of electric mobility,” the gaming operator said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the “Hyper Shop” pop-up at Wynn Palace, part of the “Wynn Signature – 2025 Hypercar Exhibition,” is stocked with collectible F1 merchandise, anniversary apparel, and limited-edition collaborations.
Alongside it, the BAPE pop-up store at Wynn Palace features the Asia debut of the new BAPE x Pagani crossover collection.
For those seeking a more hands-on experience, professional-grade F1 racing simulators provide an immersive way to engage with the speed and intensity of Formula 1 racing.
In the context of the Grand Prix season, they add another layer to the city’s evolving mix of leisure experiences, linking motorsport heritage with contemporary consumer trends.
A creative crossover
At the Macao Grand Prix Museum, a new exhibition is drawing attention not for engines or speed, but for artistry and confectionery.
The “Macao Grand Prix Museum x Wynn Chocolate Supercar Exhibition” features a full-scale chocolate supercar, created as a collaboration between Wynn’s Master Pastry Artist Bob Tay and Swiss artist Saiff Vasarhelyi.
The project blends culinary craftsmanship with visual art. Tay used three different chocolate concentrations – 70%, 67%, and 38% – to sculpt a streamlined base, which Vasarhelyi then transformed with vibrant, spray-painted patterns.
The resulting piece spans 2.9 meters, weighs 100 kilograms, and combines the precision of engineering with the creativity of fine arts.
The process required 300 hours of meticulous handcrafting, highlighting the dedication behind what is, on the surface, a playful or decorative display.
“The supercar is a masterful blend of technology and art, where ‘speed gains flavor’ to present a surprising new exhibition experience that truly stimulates the senses,” said the operator.
This exhibition follows last year’s Wynn Special Chocolate F1 and represents a continuing trend of cross-disciplinary experimentation in the city’s cultural scene.
By merging gastronomy, street art, and motorsport culture, the project offers visitors a sensory experience that is both unexpected and visually striking.
Both the “Wynn Signature – 2025 Hypercar Exhibition” at Wynn Palace and the “Macao Grand Prix Museum x Wynn Chocolate Supercar Exhibition” are running until November 16, giving visitors the chance to experience them through that date. MDT Review
