Health Bureau expands self-health monitoring with kiosks, chronic disease screening

The Health Bureau (SSM) plans to roll out self-service kiosks for physical and mental health checks as part of efforts to promote self-health management. Macau already has 325 blood pressure monitoring points, with more available at community events. Since last year’s chronic disease screening program began, more than 1,900 residents have been found to have high blood pressure and 300 with high blood sugar. A “Healthy Lifestyle Competition” will be launched in the second half of the year to encourage exercise, healthy eating, and regular checkups, with data tracked via the “My Health” platform on the Macao One Account.
