Macao Week debuts with 28 SMEs in Wuhan, Hubei

The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) will lead a delegation of 28 Macao small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in “Macao Week,” held for the first time at Wuhan Guan Square in Hubei Province from today until September 8.
The group will showcase “Made in Macao,” “Macao Brands,” and signature products from Portuguese-speaking countries to local residents and visitors over the four-day event.
The event features two major exhibition areas: the Portuguese-speaking Countries Exhibition Area, showcasing signature products from nine Portuguese-speaking nations, and the “MinM Macao Brands and Made in Macao” Exhibition Area, displaying quality products from Macao that have received the “M-Mark” certification.
Among the exhibitors, 14 are Halal-certified enterprises, and 17 possess the “M-Mark” Macao Product Quality Certificate.
Products featured include pastry souvenirs, health products, wines, coffee, tea, clothing, aromatherapy essential oils, personal care items, and Halal products.
Concurrently, to enhance the promotional impact of local SMEs during “Macao Week,” IPIM has organized a 40-member delegation to participate in the “Macao Week in Wuhan, Hubei – Hubei-Macao Business Matching Conference.”
This initiative aims to assist enterprises in promoting their brands through business-to-consumer channels while exploring the local Wuhan market via business-to-business channels.
In addition, IPIM and the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Co-operation Zone in Hengqin will jointly host the “2025 Macao-Hengqin Promotion Seminar (Wuhan),” to introduce commerce and trade associations and enterprises in Hubei to the business environment and MICE advantages of Macau and Hengqin, as well as the “Multi-venue Event” model, in hopes of attracting investments through exhibitions and enhancing the promotion of signature products from Portuguese-speaking countries and Macao.
Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes said she hopes the meeting will create cooperation opportunities for both regions, promoting mutual visits and shared visitor resources for a “win-win” situation.” Times Reporter
