
Air Macau Company Limited, local flagship carrier, posted a net loss of RMB386 million in the first half of 2025, according to Air China’s mid-year report.
This marks a slight increase in losses compared to the RMB378 million loss recorded in the same period last year.
The airline, majority-owned (74.94%) by Air China, operates a fleet of 22 aircraft with an average age of 9.04 years. It generated an operating income of RMB1.502 billion, an increase of 1.97% year-over-year.
Despite reducing its fleet from 23 aircraft in 2024 to 22 in mid-2025, Air Macau increased passenger traffic and load factors, according to its parent company’s report.
Operationally, Air Macau carried 1.56 million passengers in the first half of the year, up 5.83% from the previous year.
Revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) increased 2.39% to 2.6 billion, while available seat kilometers (ASK) fell marginally by 0.51% to 3.456 billion.
The airline’s average seat occupancy rate improved by 2.14 percentage points to 75.74%, reflecting a more efficient use of its fleet.
Meanwhile, total assets rose to RMB6.9 billion, with net assets valued at RMB1.6 billion as of mid-2025. NS
