At the opening ceremony, Chen Ping, vice governor of the Hubei provincial government, delivered a speech, stating that Hubei and Macau have a long history of exchanges and cooperation, with frequent personnel exchanges, close economic and trade ties, and in-depth cultural interactions.
He expressed his hope to further deepen practical cooperation with Macau in economic and trade investment, scientific and technological innovation, cultural tourism, education, and healthcare, and to jointly paint a new picture of “Hubei and Macau united in purpose, serving the greater good.”
At the same time, MGTO director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes introduced the 46 booths and their purposes, showcasing Macau’s elements in tourism, trade, culture, creative industries, sports, and entertainment.
Local groups also participated in performance showcases, including lion dances, martial arts, and Portuguese folk dances.
