Police seize over 6 kg of cannabis bound for Hong Kong

Local authorities intercepted a Malaysian man suspected of smuggling 6.27 kilograms of cannabis through the city to Hong Kong, with a black-market value of MOP6.27 million. The Judiciary Police said intelligence indicated the drugs were part of a trafficking network using Macau as a transit point. Officers stopped the suspect on December 2 at Macau International Airport, seizing 12 tin-foil, vacuum-sealed packages. The man admitted retrieving the drugs in Thailand, routing them via the Philippines, and planning delivery to Hong Kong for about MOP19,000.
