A 45-year-old resident who tested positive for Covid-19 after arriving from Thailand on January 1 has now been confirmed as being infected with the Delta variant, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Center reported. According to the report, the case continues to be recorded as an imported asymptomatic infection case as the patient continues to show no symptoms of the disease. The Center said that the man arrived in Macau from Thailand on a connecting flight in Singapore. He had tested negative before boarding the first flight in Thailand on December 31. According to the record, the resident has been fully vaccinated with two doses of AstraZeneca vaccine in October and December.
Wynn announces special allowance
Wynn Macau Ltd. has recently announced the issue of a special allowance for its team members, which is equivalent to one month’s gross salary. The money will be paid on January 28 to eligible members, amounting to 97.8% of its entire workforce. The company currently employs 12,000 people. However, in the statement announcing the decision, the company did not elaborate on the eligibility. The company added that the special allowance is being awarded to show the company’s appreciation to all team members for their collective efforts during the past challenging year.
SJM gives annual living subsidy to employees
SJM Resorts is giving all eligible employees an annual living subsidy equivalent to between 1.5 months to two months salary. The payment will be made in two equal installments, the first on January 6 and the second in July.
