Sands China marked the Chinese New Year by carrying out its annual “Sands Cares Spring Celebrations with the Community” program, aimed at supporting local residents.
Senior management, including Patrick Dumont, president and COO of Las Vegas Sands, joined team members and Sands Cares Ambassadors to prepare over 20,000 staple foods and assemble 2,000 gift packs for elderly residents and individuals in need.
All items within the gift packs packaged earlier this month, including cooking oil, rice, healthy noodles, cleaning supplies, and handwritten spring couplets, were sourced from the local NGO Fuhong Society of Macau.
The initiative also included visits to local small and medium-sized enterprises and cultural activities such as writing spring couplets.
Established as the city’s first corporate volunteer team, Sands Cares has engaged more than 4,000 employees, who have contributed over 360,000 volunteer hours.
