Tourism | Sports Bureau promotes Grand Prix in Shanghai

1_ID0217042016The Sports Bureau (ID) has begun its publicity and promotional campaign to the 63rd Macau Grand Prix, which will be held from November 17 to 20 this year.
ID was invited by the Formula One Chinese Grand Prix organizers to conduct promotional activities at the Shanghai International Circuit’s Fountain Plaza during the F1 race that was held on Sunday and won by German driver Nico Rosberg. The ID says that local organizers are regularly invited to participate in the Chinese F1 activities due to “a positive relationship” between the two circuits.
At the F1 Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai, the ID set up a booth to promote the Macau Grand Prix using the theme colors of black and yellow – the signature colors of Macau’s racing competition.
The booth included a collection of Grand Prix photos, the history and notable legends of the local race, as well as a program for this year’s event.
According to the statement, the ID aims to make sure Shanghai citizens and international motorsports fans know more about the Macau Grand Prix, and thereby aim to generate higher attendance at the event. At the same time, organizers hope this will further strengthen ties with the Shanghai track in the joint promotion of motorsports.
Last year’s title race at the Macau Grand Prix was won by Swedish-born Felix Rosenqvist.
