China and Portuguese-speaking countries (PSC) have adopted a three-year action plan to enhance cooperation in emerging sectors such as the digital economy and the blue economy, while also focusing on climate change initiatives. The agreement was signed at the 6th ministerial conference of the Forum Macao for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and the Portuguese-Speaking Countries. The new blueprint emphasizes exploring potential collaborations in sustainable development, scientific and technological cooperation, and more. Ji Xianzheng, the Forum’s secretary-general, emphasized the plan to strengthen electronic commerce, logistics, and blue partnerships, alongside continuing traditional trade exchanges. Additionally, Ji highlighted the role of Macau as a pivotal platform in these collaborative efforts, particularly in the context of regional integration projects like the Greater Bay Area.
