‘Cultura à Sua Porta’ brings arts and culture to local communities

The third round of the cultural initiative “Cultura à Sua Porta”, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), took place over two consecutive weekends in August, featuring 16 flash mob sessions across 13 neighborhoods in Macau.

The activities attracted over 16,000 residents and celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Historic Centre of Macau’s UNESCO World Heritage listing, as well as the 15th edition of the National Games and the 12th edition for Persons with Disabilities.

The program included four themes: World Heritage, Lusophony, Music, and Children’s Arts. Highlights included puppet theater tours of the Historic Centre, Portuguese folk dance sessions, music combined with sports activities, and performances by the MICAF festival mascot. Outdoor film screenings of Trolls and Inside Out also drew families.

IC said it plans to continue expanding cultural experiences across Macau neighborhoods in the future.
