Poly MGM Museum will open Nov. 2 with its inaugural exhibition on the history and legacy of the Maritime Silk Road. Housed at MGM Macau, the museum is a collaboration between Poly Culture Group and MGM. It will feature over 200 rare artifacts and artworks exploring the ancient trade route.
The exhibition traces the evolution and impact of maritime connectivity between East and West. Visitors will journey from early navigation guided by monsoons to the cultural exchanges and globalization fueled by maritime commerce. Underwater archaeological discoveries and remnants of ancient ports will be displayed alongside contemporary art illuminating the Silk Road’s enduring influence.
As a forum for cultural dissemination, the Poly MGM Museum has curated its program with international experts to authentically portray countries along the route. Merging artifacts with interactive technology, the museum hopes to stimulate creative inquiry and dialogue on our shared history.
