American party rapper Redfoo, best known as part of the musical duo LMFAO, is set to fly to Macau for the City of Dreams’ Splash pool party on July 11, together with other DJs and dancers from his La Freak and Party Rock Crew. The twelfth edition of the poolside event at the Hard Rock Hotel will also feature other artists, such as DJs Tim Mason and Arun R, from England and Hong Kong respectively.
It will be the very first poolside event in Asia for the party rocker, who told the Times in an interview that he expects to make the day crazy and energetic. “I feel very excited and can’t wait to bring the party rock to Asia. I have played many pool parties all over the world, I’m excited to play my first ever pool party in Asia,” Redfoo said.
In addition, the tennis-lover also disclosed that he has been practicing every day for the U.S. Open Northern California Sectional Qualifying Tournament that started yesterday, saying that he hopes to make it all the way through the championship.
Asked if it would feel different hosting a pool party in Macau compared to other locations around the world, Redfoo said that “the party might start different but it’s going to end the same.”
Model and actress Jennifer Tse Ting-ting will make a special appearance at the party. “Pool parties have always been a foreign specialty—I would not have thought that I could experience a pool party even wilder than those abroad at the City of Dreams,” she said.
Mr Sunny Yu, Melco’s senior vice president for entertainment & projects said: “As part of our promise to bring visitors unique and extraordinary entertainment options, we have invited world phenomenon Redfoo on top of a cluster of internationally acclaimed DJs this year.” Staff reporter
