Woman referred to prosecutors for failing to return lost phone

A Hong Kong woman in her 40s has been referred to the Public Prosecutions Office for allegedly failing to return a lost mobile phone in Macau. The phone, worth MOP5,600, was reported missing near a hotel in Taipa. Police identified the suspect using CCTV and the city’s Eyes in the Sky system. She was intercepted at the Hengqin border checkpoint and admitted to keeping the phone at her home in Hong Kong after finding it.
