The CURB – Center for Architecture and Urbanism has presented the eighth edition of “On the Move” (OTM), a project that merges architecture, artistic production, and bicycle rides.
This year, OTM will bring bicycles to Coloane, under the title “Coloane Lookout.”
According to CURB, this new edition marks an important step by venturing beyond the Macau Peninsula for the first time, inviting participants to explore the landscapes, rhythms, and everyday life of Coloane.
This edition will move through village streets, viewpoints, and hidden paths, uncovering the stories that shape Coloane through four sessions curated by Nuno Soares, president of CURB.
The event will take place on May 2, starting at Coloane Pier, and will feature two routes across four sessions, each lasting one hour.
The sessions starting at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. will take participants through the “Town Route,” while the ones starting at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. will feature the “Field Route.”
Each session is limited to 10 participants, with all explanations conducted in English.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, with confirmation by email. As in previous events, participants must be at least 18 years old and have basic cycling skills.
As with prior editions, the event will collect sound and images to be used in the artistic creation of a video art piece and documentary, which will be presented in a parallel screening at Ponte 9 – Creative Platform on a date to be announced.
For those interested in participating, more information is available on CURB’s Facebook and Instagram pages, and registration can be completed via the provided link.
