DSPA with new directors, ‘insufficiencies’ admited

0128062015The government intends to spend around 200 million erecting a facility to screen construction waste following a deal inked with the Guangdong authorities over the disposal of rising local construction waste in Taishan City. The intention of the authorities came as the Environment Protection Bureau’s (DSPA) new president and vice-president, Vai Hoi Ieong and Ip Kuong Lam, took post yesterday. Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Raimundo do Rosário, who officiated at the two officials’ inauguration ceremonies, said that the works developed have been “insufficient” and the city continues to lack a sense of environmental protection.
