MGTO receives seven inquiries as Middle East tensions disrupt travel routes

The Macao Government Tourism Office has received seven inquiries or requests for assistance related to the Middle East since March 1, amid escalating regional tensions. According to the office, most cases involve travelers stranded in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, as well as flight disruptions. Several countries have closed parts of their airspace, and multiple airports have temporarily suspended operations. Authorities said they will continue to closely monitor developments and follow up on the situation.
