woman arrested for illegal money exchange in casino

A 38-year-old unemployed mainland woman was arrested by the Judiciary Police for engaging in illegal money exchange in a local casino. Police believe she had been operating for around 18 months, earning HKD120 per HKD10,000 exchanged, illegally profiting HKD300,000. During a routine patrol on May 20 in NAPE, officers caught her exchanging RMB1,600 for HKD1,600 in chips. Authorities seized HKD130,000 in cash and three mobile phones. She has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office.
