The TurboJet company announced yesterday the launch of a new sailing route from the Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal to Shenzhen Airport.

Coinciding with this launch, the company opened its city airport lounge, marking the start of off-site check-in and baggage security screening services.

The official launch date for the lounge services is still being finalized.

Alfred Ng, director of the Macau Services Division at Shun Tak China Travel Ship Management, announced new advancements in transportation services within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, including the recent launch of a high-speed passenger route by TurboJet in collaboration with Shenzhen Airport Group.

According to Ng, this service, which began in November last year, connects Shenzhen Airport Ferry Terminal and the Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, operating six daily departures from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the ceremony, Ng emphasized that the service aims to facilitate travel from Macau to Shenzhen airport and to attract foreign visitors to take advantage of Macau’s 240-hour visa-free policy.

He reported stable daily passenger volumes, with holiday periods seeing significantly higher demand. Since its launch, the service has averaged over 100 passengers daily, peaking at 800 during the New Year holiday.

Ng highlighted that with the opening of the “city terminal” yesterday, passengers can now check in directly in Macau and enjoy fast-track services, with the ferry journey expected to take approximately 120 minutes.

The service includes dedicated, complimentary shuttle buses from Shenzhen Airport, providing a five-minute transfer between the terminal and the ferry pier, ensuring seamless connections to over 100 domestic and international destinations.

In Macau, passengers can use TurboJet’s complimentary shuttle bus network for convenient access to the city center. For now, the service is available only for domestic flights.
