Weather-impacted Isle of Man TT concludes prematurely

The Isle of Man (IOM) TT Races have concluded their 2026 edition prematurely following a weather-impacted event, organizers announced.
Following consultation between the Clerk of the Course and the Isle of Man Meteorological Office, it was determined that forecast weather conditions around the course were not expected to sufficiently improve within the required time, forcing organizers to end this year’s edition early and declare Dean Harrison the Milwaukee Senior TT winner after just one lap.
The result was based on positions at the end of lap one of Friday’s original race start. Subsequently, the Carole Nash Sportbike TT Race 2 was canceled.
Harrison secured his seventh TT victory, with Peter Hickman finishing second and Josh Brookes third.
“This has undoubtedly been one of the most challenging TTs in recent years from a weather perspective. Over the course of the event, we set out with nine days in which racing could potentially have taken place, and rain affected seven of them. That is an exceptional set of circumstances, and it has had a major impact on what we have been able to deliver,” Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson said.
In the races completed, as The Times reported, Harrison won the RST Superbike TT Race, while Michael Dunlop claimed two victories in the Monster Energy Supersport TT Race 1 and 2 aboard the Ducati Panigale V2.
Dunlop, this time riding the Paton S1-R-650, also won the Carole Nash Sportbike TT Race 1, with Harrison, as noted, declared the winner of the Milwaukee Senior TT.
As is known, the IOM TT, together with the North West 200, is one of the main events used by local organizers to select riders who will participate in the Macau Grand Prix in November.
